These easy and adorable Chocolate Easter Nests are the perfect no-bake treats for Easter. Made with melted chocolate, crispy cereal, and mini chocolate eggs, they’re sure to be a hit at any gathering. Fun to make with kids and delicious to eat!
Ingredients
- Chocolate (200g): Milk, dark, or white chocolate, broken into pieces.
- Butter (50g): Adds creamy richness to the mixture.
- Golden Syrup (2 tablespoons, optional): Adds sweetness and helps bind the mixture.
- Cereal (100g): Cornflakes, Rice Krispies, or Shredded Wheat.
- Mini Chocolate Eggs (About 36): For decorating the nests.
- Sprinkles (Optional): For a festive touch.
Instructions
- Melt chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 20 seconds until smooth.
- Add golden syrup (if using) and mix well.
- Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal and stir until well-coated.
- Line a muffin tin with cupcake cases and spoon the mixture evenly into each case.
- Use the back of a spoon to create an indentation in the center of each nest.
- Place mini chocolate eggs on top and add sprinkles if desired.
- Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour until set.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- To make gluten-free nests, use gluten-free cereal.
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
